County mechanic permit
Issued or renewed through Miami-Dade County’s application process. Education documentation supports that process; it does not replace it.
The county application asks for continuing-education proof as part of renewal. Check the current county instructions for the complete set of documents required for your permit type.

Read the certificate as soon as you receive it. The practical checks below help you identify missing or inconsistent information before you use the document.
- Your name matches the records used for your application.
- The course and provider are clearly identified.
- The completion date and documented education hours are clear.
- Any certificate number or verification instructions work as described.
- The full document is legible and available in a format you can retain.
These are preparation checks, not a new county-mandated certificate format. Ask the issuing provider to correct an error; keep the original record and the corrected version organized.

When do I receive my certificate?
Your digital certificate is available immediately after you complete all required coursework and pass the assessment. Same-day delivery refers to the certificate after successful completion; county permit processing is separate.

Keep a digital copy you can find.
Save the certificate in a clearly named folder alongside your renewal records. If your provider offers verification, keep that link or certificate number with the file. A public verification page can help confirm the course record; it is not the county permit registry.

Match the education total to your renewal period. The county application lists proof of 16 hours for one year or 32 hours for two years. Follow the county’s current instructions when submitting those records.
